Elvin H. “Bud” Schenkel

Elvin H. “Bud” Schenkel, 79, of Marietta, passed away at 10:17 am, Monday (June 3, 2013) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Marietta on August 8, 1933, a son of Elvin W. and Gertrude Grace Power Schenkel.

Bud retired from Aerolite Company and later was employed by the Unitarian Universalist Church.

On March 31, 1961, he married Rowena Sparks who survives with one son, Stuart (Barbara) Schenkel and grandson Bruce Schenkel all of Bolivar, OH; and daughter Deborah Griffiths of Cambridge. He is also survived by his brother William “Bill” Schenkel of San Diego, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

At his request, his body was cremated and no services will be held at this time. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
