    Colten Roy-Thomas Tranter, 5, of Parkersburg passed away on May 11, 2021.
    He was born September 11, 2015, in Parkersburg the son of Roy Thomas Tranter and Jennie Luke. In addition to his parents, Colten is survived by 2 aunts and 2 uncles: Renee Luke, Jason Luke, Toby Luke and Terri Luke.
    Visitation will be held on Tuesday (May 18) from 12:00 until 2:00 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeal Home followed by a graveside service in East Lawn Memorial Park. Messages of sympathy may be e-mailed at: condolences@Lankforffh.com.

  • Garrett William Scott

    Garrett William Scott, 25, of Marietta passed away at 9:00 pm, Monday, May 10, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1995, in Warrensburg, MO, a son of Rodney and Angie Warne Scott.
    Garrett was a 2014 graduate of Marietta High School where he was a 5 year member of “The Wall of Sound” in Front Ensemble and Drum Line. He was Teen Coordinator of Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, member of Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, drummer for Jake Binegar Band, member of Pathway Community Church where he was drummer for the Worship Band, member of the Loyal Order of The Moose #1823, former member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 200.

    Roland Eugene Ziegler, 66, of Friendly, WV, passed away at 10:50 pm, Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    He was born May 25, 1954, in Alliance, OH, a son of Theodore Junior Ziegler and Ruth Ellen Nicholson Mathes.

  • Bernard “Pat” Worstell

     
     
    Bernard William “Pat” Worstell, 88, of Marietta (Devola) passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Caywood, OH, on September 1, 1932, a son of the late Thurman and Clara Patterson Worstell.
    Pat was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. He attended school at Stanleyville Sand Hill and graduated from Marietta Senior High School, Class of 1951. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and worked at B. F. Goodrich for 33 years and RJF International for 8 years and for 16 years at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Pat was a Mason and an Odd Fellow.

  • Christina Diane Davis

    It’s with great sadness that the family announce, Christina Diane Davis, 53, of Belpre, Oh gained her wings on May 3rd 2021. She was born September 8th, 1967 to Wayne and Judy Christopher. Christina is preceded in death by her mother, Judy. Christina leaves behind her father Wayne Christopher, her loving husband Pat Davis, her children Hannah and Aaron Anderson, Dillon Davis, and Patrick Davis, Her sister Beth Moyers, her brother Paul Christopher, and her two grandchildren Braylen and Aayan. And her nephew Kenny.
    Christina worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital Psych Unit for many years.

  • Carolyn Becker

    Carolyn J. Becker, 76, of Whipple passed away 2:10 pm on May 2, 2020 at Elmcroft Assisting Living.
    She was born February 15, 1945 in Marietta to the late Clarence E. and Ruth Martha (Hartline) Zimmer. Carolyn was a 1963 graduate of Marietta High School. She had served as the clerk for Fearing Township and with the Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years and had been active with the RSVP program. Most of all Carolyn loved her Lord and was very active at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church where she was a member for many years and had served as a facilitator with the Grief Share Ministry.

    James L. Goodman, 77, of Jefferson, Ohio passed away on May 1, 2021, in Jefferson. He was born in Marietta on October 4, 1943, a son of the late Anna and James R. Goodman.
    James was a veteran of The United States Navy and served during The Vietnam War and was a welder for Caterpillar Corporation. He enjoyed camping, the outdoors and spending time with his family.
