    Evelyn Joy Rowley, 83, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Harmar Place in Marietta. She was born on December 5, 1937, in Rockdale, TX a daughter of Harry L. and Margaret Doss Bland.
    Evelyn was a 1956 High School graduate and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and also obtained her Real Estate License. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired in 1982 after 25 years of service. Evelyn was a member of Warren Chapel Methodist Church.

  • Dorothy M. Maidens Page Varner

    Dorothy M. Maidens Page Varner, 96, of Williamstown, died on December 30, 2020, after a short battle with COVID-19. Dorothy was born on August 9, 1924 to Henry C. and Nettie (Lauderman) Maidens. She attended a one room school on Keller Lane through eighth grade and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1941.

    James R. Hesson, 68, of St. Mary’s , WV passed away December 28, 2020 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
    He was born August 16, 1952 in Newport to Glen and Dorothy (Thomas) Hesson. James had retired from the US Air Force and later retired as a Bombardier aircraft mechanic in 2010. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
    On April 7, 2009 he married Sonia Que Yao who survives with his children Heather (Eric) Bowman, Natanya (David) Wilcher of Orange County, CA, Nicole Hesson of St. Marys, Glen Hesson of Texas. Also

    Earl G. Treadway, 91, of Fleming passed away at 9:45 am, Friday, December 25, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born November 25, 1929, in Washington County to Warner and Marie Maddox Treadway.
    Earl had been employed at Airolite Company, Kardex and Forma Scientific as a foreman. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Korean conflict. He was a former Boy Scout Leader.

    Loren was employed as a plumber. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during Vietnam and was a member of the VFW and the Knob Church.

  • Joan “Joanne” Marie Farnsworth Oliver

    Joan “Joanne” Marie Farnsworth Oliver, 87, of Williamstown was called to her heavenly home on December 21, 2020 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home. She was born August 5, 1933 to Robert “Ted” and Goldia (Hendershot) Farnsworth. Joanne graduated from Williamstown High School in the class of 1952. She was a member of the Williamstown Church of God. Her love for God, family and friends was her life.
    On April 10, 1955, she married John Oliver, their first date was singing at a nursing home together. They sung at nursing homes and churches, while spreading God’s love for the rest of their lives. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2018.
