  • Jackie Lee Loane

    Jackie Lee Loane 77, of Marietta, OH passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in his home with his loving wife by his side.
    Jackie was born on October 15, 1942 in Bergoo, WV. His parents were Henry Franklin Loane and Freda Izola Tracy-Loane.
    Jackie served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. Upon his return home, Jackie met Eula Evelene Leary, who still survives. They were married on March 13, 1967 in Elkins, WV.
    Jackie was a very proud father and papaw. He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Cammie) of Whipple, and Rick (Diana) of Lower Salem. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jeffrey, Steven (Misty), Rhiannon, and Ashlee, and 4 great grandchildren.

    Janet Jane McClure, 80, of Waverly, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at The Arbors of Marietta. She was born on December 19, 1939, in Wood County, WV, a daughter of Watson O. and Opal J. Bayles.
    Janet was United Methodist by faith. Her life was centered around her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
    She married Lawrence E. McClure on April 16, 1956, and they enjoyed 64 years together.

    George W. Cady, 100, of Reno passed away at 11:45 pm, Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born February 18, 1920, in Marietta a son the late Ray and Fanna Worstell Cady.
    George graduated from High School in Wooster, Ohio. He served in the U. S. Army where he trained as a Medic. He worked as a tool dresser for oilrigs and on many different wells in the area. George loved the sport of football and had played football as a quarter back in school. He was a huge sports fan and was also a volunteer at the Marietta Recycling Center for over 20 years.

  • Jerry Lynn Watson, Sr.

    Jerry Lynn Watson, Sr. was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on July 25, 1951. He passed away at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on July 12, 2020 at the age of 68. Jerry’s home of residence was in Marietta where he had built his life with his wife Carla J. Watson.
    Jerry was the second born of five boys. He had learned many different trades and jobs growing up. When he was 18 year old he was drafted into the Vietnam War. After 7 months he was honorably discharged. He continued to learn new trades until he met and married his wife on August 10, 1979. They started their family that year and had 3 children.
