    Karen S. Phipps, 65, of Poulsbo, WA., passed away peacefully at home with her family. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio she was the daughter of Geraldine (Taylor) Jordan and the late Harold Jordan.
    Preceded in death by her loving husband Bruce A. Phipps in 2013, Karen is survived by her beloved daughter and best friend Laura Douglas and her husband Craig of Poulsbo, WA., her adoring grandsons Jack and Aaron Douglas, her loving sisters and brother; Rita Secrest of McDermott, OH., Cheryl White of Apple Valley, OH., and Steve Jordan of McDermott, OH.

  • Guy Mendenhall

    Guy Mendenhall, 87, of Marietta passed away 10 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    He was born August 28, 1932 in Bloomfield, to John and Blanche (Bradfield) Mendenhall. Guy was a graduate of Lawrence High School and had served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed at Carvers Plumbing as a plumber. Guy loved to fish and the Sternwheel Festival, he had even built his own sternwheeler “The Cricket”.
    In 1953 he married Olive Whetstone who survives with children Kenneth (Linda) Mendenhall and Linda (Marc) Wilcher, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Barbara Mendenhall.

  • Frank R. Corkran

    Frank R. Corkran, 60, of Watts Township, Perry County, passed away on Saturday February 15, 2020 at UPMC West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA.
    Born October 6, 1959, in Houston, Texas, he was a son of the late Fred W. and C. Jean (Powell) Corkran. In 1982, Frank earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University.
    Frank had been employed by as an Engineer by TE Connectivity Ltd., Middletown, last working in September 2019. Prior to that, he had worked with AMP, Inc. and General Dynamics. A car enthusiast and collector of Mustangs, Frank was a member of the Mustang Club of Central Pennsylvania. He was also a race driver and instructor with the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). Possessing an adventurous and spirited nature, Frank enjoyed flying lessons, listening to the Blues and caring for his pet dogs over the years.

  • Constance J. Eisenman Wellspring Borman

    Constance J. Eisenman Wellspring Borman, 80 of Marietta went home to heaven on Thursday, February 13, 2020, following her courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was born in Marietta, OH on November 29, 1939 a daughter of Floyd & Freda (Sprague) Eisenman.On April 8, 1956, she married William Wellspring, who preceded her in death. The following children survive this marriage: Cindy (Mark) Wilmoth of Roper, NC, Vivian (Rick) Noland of Stockport, OH, Libby (Nelson) Patrick of Heath, OH, James (Dawn) Wellspring of Belpre, OH, Joe (Rhonda) Wellspring of Marietta, OH, Diane (Brent) Coleman of Stockport, OH, Melissa Mankins of Marietta, OH and 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.She later married John Borman who survives.

  • Norma Jean Green Fischer

    Norma June Green Fischer, 90, of Williamstown passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Worthington Care Center in Parkersburg, WV. She was born June 29, 1929, in Washington County, Ohio, a daughter of Jessie Arthur Green and Audrey May Parsons.
    Norma was a graduate of Waterford High School in 1947. She was a member of Boaz Baptist Church and enjoyed needlepoint, baby sitting-childcare, reading, walking and cooking.
    On December 19, 1947 she married Henry Donald Fischer, Jr. and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage. He preceded her in death.

    Jeanette Piatt Gregory. 76, of Marietta passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 3:30 am at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born July 20, 1943, a daughter of Edgar “Mike” and Mary Ann Menke Piatt.
    Jeanette graduated from Williamstown High School in 1961 and attended Fairmont State College and Washington State Community College and graduated from Valley Beauty School. She was the Fiscal Officer to Marietta Township from 1996 until 2020, Coordinator for Washington County Township Association Employee Safety Program, Treasurer for Washington County Township Association, Secretary for Washington County Health Board, and Washington County Township Association Treasurer. She was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church,
