    Nora L. Bruce, 81, of Marietta earned her angel wings on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born June 27, 1937 in Little Hocking a daughter of Lloyd and Sarah Jenkins Sayer.  Nora retired in 1998 after 25 years working at Harmar School, which she really enjoyed. She was a homemaker and loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

  • Dr. Cavendish McKay

    Dr. Cavendish Quayle McKay, 46, of Marietta passed away from an apparent heart attack June 11, 2019.
    He was born February 28, 1973, in Seattle, Washington, to Laurie Schroder McKay and the late Morgan Powell “Tony” McKay, Jr. During his childhood he grew to love being in nature, and as an adult, he developed a devotion for the deserts of southern Utah. Hiking and exploring new places locally and around the world, and planning those trips, were joys for him.

  • Gale D. Walters

    Gale D. Walters, 59, of Dalzell passed away at 5:05 pm, Monday, June 10, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 5, 1960, in Marietta a son of Gilbert and Dessie Pryor Walters.  Gale worked in the construction business and enjoyed working with his hands—stone carving, working on cars and later in life quilting, following his mother’s example.

  • Nelma D. Proctor

     
    Nelma D. Proctor, 81, of Barlow, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 1:55 am, Sunday, June 9, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 18, 1937, in McFarland, WV, a daughter of Charles L. and Myrtle McCray Fortney.
    Nelma was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of Barlow United Methodist Church and Porterfield Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and was active in Cub Scouts and involved in her community.

    Joyce A. Cunningham Gill, 74, of Whipple went to fly with the angels at 5:02 pm, Friday, June 7, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born in Marietta on April 30, 1945, a daughter of Eva Ellen Cunningham.
    Joyce was a loving wife for 59 ½ years and also a loving mother.
