Laura A. Serna-Maytorena, 57, of Marietta, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, with her beloved family by her side. She was born June 11, 1967 in Athens, Ohio, daughter of Jane Tumas-Serna, of Marietta, and the late Manuel Antonio Serna-Maytorena. Laura was a graduate of Athens High School and Ohio University. On August 4, 1990, she married Eric Richendollar, who survives.

She was born on April 8, 1942 to Audrey and Ralph Orben Markley in Marietta, Ohio. She was a 1960 graduate of Marietta High School. Lynne married Tom Wetzel on February 10, 1961. She was the secretary to the principal at Marietta High School for over two decades. Lynne retired from the Marietta City School system after nearly thirty years of service. She was a member of Harbor Site Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer for 15 years.
George A. Hendrickson, 69, of Marietta passed away at 5:42 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 22, 1955, in Marietta a son of Thomas Albert Hendrickson and Laurena Carver Hendrickson. He had been employed by Warren Township.
Geraldine Rae “Jake” Farmer-Thompson-Vandall passed away at Marietta Memorial Hospital on January 16th, 2025.
She was born in Marietta, Ohio on August 4, 1951 to the late Ray and Virginia Farmer.
Mun Cha (Kim) Mather, 79, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025.
Kim gained her angel wings on 1/13/25 at the crisp age of 79, on day shy of her 80th birthday.
Kim was the beloved wife of George Mather whom she married 36 years ago. George met Kim while stationed in South Korea. Upon George’s retirement from the Army, they moved to Vero Beach, F L where she spent the rest of her days.
Buckeye Bob, the “Legend”, of Marietta passed away January 13, 2025. He was born July 6, 1941. He enjoyed playing cards, planting his garden, and playing softball.
Bob played his last softball game at the age of 8l. He was a huge Buckeye fan. Go Bucks! Last year he was honored with a special ceremony for being one of the oldest softball players to play on Hadley Field.
Roger E. “Down Town” Brown, 62, of Marietta passed at 10:48 am, Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on February 4, 1962, in Marietta a son of Waldo Brown and the late Betsy Vanoster Brown. Roger was a loving son, father, uncle and brother.
