    Robert “Scott” Baker, 57, of Marietta passed away at 5:20 am, Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his home.
    He was born August 28, 1967 at Newport News, VA, a son of William Baker and Roberta Davis Baker. Scott was a construction worker.
    On September 13, 2005, he married Tammy Monway Baker who survives with 2 sons, Austin Baker and Bryce Baker both of Marietta and his brother Steve (Pam) Baker of Marietta. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Garry Baker.
    At his request, he will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.

    Maxine Eileen Siley, 83, of Marietta peacefully passed away at her home on October 11, 2024 leaving a void her family cannot fill.
    Maxine was born July 16, 1941, in Niagara Falls, New York, married at Calvary Baptist Church on September 5, 1959 and moved to Marietta in 1962 where she dedicated her life to being a loving wife and a devoted mother

  • Gailey Alvin Henderson

    Gailey Alvin Henderson, 97, of Williamstown, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at his home. He was born August 11, 1927, in Roane County, West Virginia a son of John M. Henderson and Tressie Mae Summers Henderson.
    Gailey joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served the duration of the War and upon his return he returned to school and graduated from Doddridge County High School in 1947. He had worked for Shell Chemical in Belpre, was one of their first employees, and he retired in 1984. He volunteered on the Appalachian Trail and had received a 1000 Hours Award. His hobby was attending auctions and collecting antique tools and gas engines. He could always be found at antique engine shows with his tool display, “What Is It and What Does It Do?”

    Brenda Kay Long, 64, of Fleming, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born December 18, 1959, in Marietta a daughter of Roman Erb and Marjorie Martin Erb.
    Brenda was employed as a Corrections Officer and had been a Dietary Nutritionist at Selby General Hospital.
