David “Pap” Alvin Reuse
David “Pap” Alvin Reuse, 67, of Lower Salem went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 9, 1957 in Cleveland to John and Edna (Wilson) Reuse.
David was a retired Cleveland Police Officer and an active member of his community no matter where he lived, most recently as an EMT and Firefighter in Lower Salem, Belpre, Bethel, Devola and Oak Grove. David touched the lives of so many through his acts of service. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need and will be missed by many, but his legacy will live forever.
David is survived by sons: David (Kaylee) Reuse of Lower Salem and Jonathan (Erin) Thomas of Berea and daughters: JoAnn Reuse and Penelope Thomas both of Cleveland and will be remembered by his grandchildren: Justin, Braxton, Bentley, Trinity, Mia, Kalel, Annabella, Emma, Alexzandriah, Arianna, Damarion, Desiree and Jennyanalis. Also surviving are his brothers: Elmer, Hank, and Rick and a sister, Janette.
On September 14, 2024 he was preceded in death by the love of his life Rebecca Ann Barker. In addition to Rebecca and his parents, David was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Allen and a sister, Carol.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22nd from 2pm to 4pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. A full Fireman’s Funeral Service will follow at 4 pm.
