Norman E. “Joe” Blauser

Norman E. “Joe” Blauser, 84, of Marietta passed away at 6:06 pm., Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 15, 1940, in Oil City Pennsylvania a son of Sidney Blauser and Francis Felmlee Blauser.

Norm had worked in construction and was a drywaller. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being out of doors.

Norm married Ruth Hose who survives with 4 daughters: Angela Williams of Marietta, Jo (David) Vogel of Nashville, TN, Dawn (Randy) Cunningham of Marietta and Wendy (Christopher) Kingery of Pataskala, OH; 11 grandchildren: Carla Archer, Aaron Cassady, Austin Parker, Courtney Cunningham, Tyler Cunningham, Vincent Kingery, Drew Kingery, Sydney Kingery, Craig Vogel, Cory Vogel and Scott Vogel; 7 great grandchildren and a special niece Kathy Hanna.

Norm is preceded in death by his parents, former wife Barbara Blauser, brother Richard Blauser and 2 sisters Hazel Pfeilsticker and Doris Smathers.

The family would like extend a special “Thank You” to Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell for the compassionate care they gave Norm.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (Feb. 3) at 12:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet friends on Monday before the service from 10 until 12.
