Russ Nutter, 80, of Marietta passed into eternity on August 13, 2026,
after a prolonged illness . In 1946, he was born at home in Belpre, Ohio to Russell and Grace Nutter.
Christian, soldier, engineer, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend, he is survived by wife Ellen, son William Nutter (Jodi), daughter Melissa Nutter, step- daughter Erin Cummings, and grandson
Wes Roden. Brothers Harley Nutter and Kenny Nutter (Marie) and sister Shirley Coggeshall (Jim) also survive. Additionally, his beloved rescue cat Gus still holds vigil for him.
Patty Sue (Doan) Tidd, 60, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026 in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and children by her side. She was born June 7, 1966 in Marietta, Ohio. She was the middle daughter of the late Paul Gene and Leona Pearl (Stark) Doan.
Patty graduated from Marietta High School in 1985. On July 28, 1984, she married James “Jim” Tidd at Putnam Congregational Church in Marietta. She worked at Haessly Hardwood Lumber Company, alongside her husband, for 26 years as a bookkeeper. The two were never apart.
Jewel A. Walters, 60, of Marietta passed away at 9:06 pm, Sunday, August 9, 2026, at OSU Medical Center.
Jewel was born in Marietta on October 25, 1965 a daughter of Ben Burge and Clara Freeland Burge. She worked at Wal-Mart in Marietta for 15 years and at Magnum Magnetics.
Steven Robert McVay, 69, of Fleming passed away on August 4, 2026, at Muskingum Skilled Nursing in Beverly, OH. Born in Marietta on June 7, 1957 to Robert Huston McVay and Hollie Joanne Woodford, Steve was a 1975 graduate of Marietta HS.
Doris Jean Hill, 84, of Moss Run passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born at Cow Run on September 29, 1941 a daughter of Lawrence Dale Wallace and Ruth Lois Mosser Wallace.
She married Herman Hill who preceded her in death.
Orville Junior Perine, 82, of Marietta passed away at his home on Monday, August 3, 2026.
He was born on April 16, 1944 in West Virginia a son of Dewey Perine and Justine Carson Perine. Orville had served in the U. S. Army.
Kathleen Siler Perruci died peacefully in Marietta on August 2, 2026, at the age of 63. She was surrounded by family in her home after months of living with cancer. Kathleen was born to Patricia Ann Siler and Richard Keith Siler in Honolulu, HI in 1963. She grew up in Seabrook, TX, where her father worked as a meteorologist at NASA Johnson Space Center. Her childhood was adventurous, watching rocket launches and taking trips in the family Piper Cub to vacation destinations across the country.
