Richard R. “Rick” Gibbs

Richard R. “Rick” Gibbs, 71, of Marietta passed away at 7:45am, Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Heartland of Marietta. He was born December 1, 1946, in Marietta to Edward and Bernadine Hupp Gibbs.

He was employed at Marietta College, later at Washington County Public Library and American Producers Supply. Rick was a member of Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church. He was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed many other sports.

Rick is survived by 2 daughters, Terri Marks of Rittman, OH and Teresa (Bryan) Abbott of Parkersburg; grandchildren: Laken (Cody) Shook, Tyler Adams, Madison Carpenter and Tommy, Joseph Abbott and Luke Abbott; brother Martin (Debbie) Gibbs of Marietta and sisters, Raean (Jim) Davis of Marietta and Jo (John) Richardson of St. Marys, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and good friend Chris Parsons.

His parents and brother, Mike Gibbs, preceded him in death.
