Earl “Duke” Worstell

Earl “Duke” Worstell, 70, of Marietta passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 8:15am, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born February 25, 1948, in Cleveland, OH, a son of Earl T. and Delores Baker Worstell.

Earl was a graduate of Fort Frye High School in 1965. He owned and operated several businesses, including his construction company, D & D Construction. He was a Mason and a member of Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church.

Earl married Helen Pursley Worstell who passed away on February 6, 2014. He is survived by children: Chris A. Pribble, Tia L. (Jean) Worstell both of Belpre, Earl D. (Tiera) Worstell of Vincent, and Ashley N. Worstell of Marietta; grandchildren: Megan Wine, Brittany Bartlett, Zachary Pribble, Jared Azar, Eric Worstell and Emily Worstell; great grandchildren, Elijah Wine and Brady Wine. He is also survived by his brother Keith Worstell and sister Phyllis Gearhart.

A celebration of Earl’s life will be held 1pm Saturday, March 17th at Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from noon until the hour of service at the church. McClure-Schafer-Lankford is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
