Comer L. “Jock” Fryman, Jr.

Comer L. “Jock” Fryman, Jr., 86, of Marietta passed away April 12, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 20, 1931 in Marietta to Comer and Pearl L. (Oliver) Fryman. Jock was a 1949 graduate of Marietta High School. After graduation he joined the US Air Force serving from 1950 to 1954. After the Air Force Jock worked for 42 years at Smith Concrete until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 64. Jock liked gardening and enjoyed his grandchildren.

On May 14, 1955, he married L. Jean Fryman who preceded him in death on April 27, 2017.

Surviving are their children: Eddy Fryman, Tina (Butch) Lones and Angela (Ron) Feathers all of Marietta; 6 grandchildren: Steven, Ryan, Shawn, Isaac, Jared and Ethan, 6 great grandchildren and siblings John Fryman (Jennifer) of Vincent, Ohio, and Barbara Fryman of Mansfield, Ohio

In addition to his parents and wife, Jock was preceded in death by a brother William Fryman and sisters Wilma Dutton, Betty McCain Smith, Dorothy Chute and Mary Lou Prater.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (April 17th) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Bob Feathers officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Bank Cemetery with full military rites. The family will greet friends before the service on Tuesday from 11 until 1.
