Barbara Tellep Eddy

Barbara Ann Tellep Eddy of Marietta, formerly of St. Marys, WV, passed away at 12:15 am, Monday, May 28, 2018, at Heartland of Marietta. She was born on September 29, 1941, in Belle Valley, Ohio, to Steve and Virginia F. Sealock Tellep.

Barbara was a graduate of Platt R. Spencer High School. She had been employed at Hillcrest Group home as a Voca/Rescare caregiver where she loved and cared for many resident as her own family. She enjoyed cross stitch when she was still able and to keep up with her grandsons who were the light of her life. Barbara was a member of Dewey Avenue Church of Christ.

On July 29, 1965, she married Charles Allen Eddy who preceded her in death. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kay Eddy Myers of Marietta; 3 grandsons: Blake Anthony Myers of Marietta, Ryan Allen Myers of Cincinnati, and Chase Ashton Myers of Marietta. Two brothers also survive, Steve Tellep of Cambridge and Jeff Tellep of Cumberland, OH, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant son.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (June 1) at 12:00 noon at Dewey Avenue Church of Christ in St. Marys, WV. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and at the church on Friday from 10 until noon. The family would like to thank the many caregivers, doctors and friends that have taken care of Barbara over the years. She was cared for and loved by many.
