Doreen R. Craig

Doreen R. Craig, 64, of Devola, Marietta, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 6:30 am.

She was born on March 8, 1946, in Marietta, a daughter of Gordon A. and Helen J. Stutes Prunty.  Doreen was employed at Best Western Motel, was a member of Ladies of the Moose and Ladies Eagles, and Marietta Church of God.

On September 16, 1972, she married Ralph A. Craig who preceded her in death on December 29, 1999.

Doreen is survived by 2 sons: Michael (Kendra) Craig of Marietta and Matt (Alicia) Craig of Churchtown; grandchildren:  Ashleigh, Kaylee, Jonathan, Joshua, Michael, Jessica, Nichole, Natasha, her brother Dick  (Jean) Prunty of Tangier, NC.   Also survived by long-time friends:  Janet Weppler, Frances Cassandro, Ruth Pugh and Dave Venham.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Davis, sister Patricia Andrews, daughter Lisa who died at childbirth, friend Linda Lauer and long-time companion, Herbert L. Weber.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (February 16th) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Norman officiating.  Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening beginning at 4:00 pm.
