George “Butch” L. McIntosh

George “Butch” L. McIntosh, 78, of Marietta passed away 6:30 am on July 11 2018 at his home, peacefully to join his mother and dad. He was born September 18, 1939 in Marietta to Charles and Hazel (Van Wey) McIntosh. Butch was employed at Fenton Art Glass and had retired from Thermo-Fisher Scientific.

On February 16, 1962, Butch married Janet McCloud who survives with daughters Sherry L. Payne of Williamstown, Mary (Mike) Hogan of Marietta and Susie (Chad) Duvall of Williamstown. Also surviving are grandchildren Bryan Jones, Ricki Lynn (Darin) Buffington, Leonna Sue (Tim) Haddox, Thaddeus (Maggie) Duvall, Alyssa (Eric) Verblaauw and Alex Hogan, great grandchildren Brylee, Hunter, Madelyn, Cooper, Rory, and expected great grandson Jacobi. Brothers Kenny and Jerry McIntosh, sister Helen Travis, sister-in-law Helen McIntosh Leach, many nieces and nephews and 4 legged friends Charlie and Sissy also survive.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by brothers: Everett, Frank, and Marion and a sister Lilabell.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, July 14th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rainbow Cemetery. Visitation will begin 2:00 pm Friday with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
