Barbara S. Miller

Barbara S. Miller, 74, of Marietta passed away 4:50am, July 24, 2018 at her home. She was born in Marietta on January 11, 1944 to William and Betty Jane (Boice) Born. She was a nurse at Marietta Memorial Hospital for 22 years. Barbara enjoyed sewing, bingo, long drives, reading, puzzles, crochet, and cross-stitch.

On February 25, 1961, she married Charles R. “Rugg” Miller, Jr. who preceded her in death on October 17, 2011.

Surviving are sons: Terry of San Francisco, CA, Tim of Stanleyville, and Tom (Kelley) of Newport; 3 grandchildren: Tommy (Nicole) Miller of Lowell, Stephanie Miller of Newport and Amanda (Craig) Moore of Stanleyville; 6 great grandchildren: Alexis, Baylee and Easton Miller and Kayden and Logan Moore and Kaleb Miller; 2 step grandchildren: Nathan Sturm and Heidi Fickiesen; 6 step great grandchildren: Madeline, Tyler, Brandon, Josh, John Michael, and Tifani. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Donna Born, several nieces and nephews and her loving pets Princess and Dolly.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a brother Kenny Born, twin great grandchildren Kaelin and Devan Miller, and a daughter-in-law Susan L. Miller.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 Sunday July 29th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Wendy Erb officiating. Burial will follow in St. Jacobs Cemetery.
