Loretta Ruth Blair

Loretta Ruth Blair, 87, of Marietta passed away at 5:25 pm, Friday, August 24, 2018, at Astoria Place of Barnesville. She was born July 3, 1931, in West Virginia to John and Anna Jenkins.

Loretta was a homemaker. On June 19, 1948, she married Daniel Blair who preceded her in death on January 15, 1989. She is survived by 8 sons and 3 daughters: Bob Blair of Carlisle, OH, Ronnie (Sonya) Blair of Lower Salem, David Blair of Waterford, Jake Blair of Lower Salem, Jim Blair of Lower Salem, Larry (Sherry) Blair of Myrtle Beach, SC, Wesley Blair of Marietta, Chuck (Mary) Blair of Waterford, Linda (Arlen) Kuhn, of Barnesville, Jeannie Blair of Marietta, Michelle (Butch) Cantwell of Macksburg and 26 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild and 36 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Marian Holland of Marietta and Tressie Dille of Toledo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ed Blair, 2 daughters, Ruth and Glenna Blair and 3 grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, (Aug. 29) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet friends on Tuesday after 2:00 and before the service on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Salem Township Cemetery. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
