Luella M. Hendrickson

Luella Soard Hendrickson went into the arms of Jesus on September 4, 2018, at Heartland of Marietta. Luella was born in 1930 in Chickasha, OK to Luther and Leota Soard. She married Berten “Ed” Hendrickson in 1950 while they were both in the US Army. They became the parents of four children. Luella was a devoted wife and mother and she loved the Lord. She had a green thumb and was a talented artist. She worked for a number of years at Peoples Bank and at the O’Neill Senior Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Moening, daughters-in-law Brenda Hendrickson and Karen Hendrickson, sister-in-law Sue Dearborn, granddaughters Chelsea Hendrickson and Stajah Hoeflich, grandsons Nate Moening, Jason, Josh, Jared, Dan, Brandon and David Hendrickson, 11 great grandchildren, and her church family, whom she loved dearly.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed, brothers Luke and Bill Soard, sisters Patsy Cunningham, Lois Ridgeway, Hazel Soard and Betty Sue Johnson, and sons Mike, Dan and Jeff Hendrickson.

There will be a viewing on Sat. Sept. 8th , from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral Home in Marietta, with the funeral on Monday, Sept. 10th at 11:00 am at Williams Creek Baptist Church, Williamstown, WV, with Pastor Mike Horner officiating.
