Esther Ruth Biehl, 93, of Marietta passed away at 3:12 pm. Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born May 6, 1925, in Washington County to Otto Schenkel and Mae Adams Schenkel. Esther was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.

On April 10, 1943, she married Homer L. Biehl who preceded her in death November 25, 1990.

She is survived by 8 children: Edwin (Arlene) Biehl of Whipple, Betty (William) Stuchel of Marietta, William Biehl of Marietta, Ernest (Ellen) Biehl of Lowell, Delmar (Aileen) Biehl of Lowell, Alvin (Belinda) Biehl of Lowell, Helen (Douglas) Miller of Marietta, Danny (Jane) Biehl of Whipple; Grandchildren: Linda (Kirk) House, Teresa (Scott) Fryer, Carol (Allen) Drown, Matthew Stuchel, Connie (Leonard) Ritchie, Allen Biehl, William Jr. Biehl, Carrie (James) Hickman, Eric (Laura) Biehl, Ryan Biehl, Mark (Sara) Biehl, Scott Biehl, Sarah Biehl, Charissa Biehl, Shannon (Chuck) Porter, Douglas (Ana) Miller, Andrew Miller, Tina (Tyler) Withan, Tommy (Beth) Morrison, Tracy Morrison, Ashley (Jeff) Farrow, Travis Williams, Christina (Rocky) Csuvay, Wendy Molvie, great grandchildren: Randi House, Alex House, Nicholas (Hannah) Fryer, Christopher Fryer, Emily Drown, Megan Drown, Samuel Drown, Michael Jr. (Deanna) Harlow, Dustin (Emily) Harlow, Justine (Ethan) Wolfe, McKenzie Biehl, Ally Biehl, Blair Biehl, Ashley Biehl, Jessie Biehl, Zoe Biehl, Hailey Hickman, Noah Hickman, Aiden Biehl, Madison Biehl, Rylie Biehl, Chance Biehl, Wyatt Porter, Bram Miller, Cade Miller, Evelyn Miller, Axel Farrow, Dominic Farrow, several great, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer Biehl, daughter-in-law Nesta Biehl, 2 grandchildren, Lori Stuchel and Todd Biehl; 2 sisters, Kathryn Becker and Mildred Schenkel and 2 brothers, Harry and Cecil Schenkel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Sept. 28) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Roger Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Township Cemetery.
