Carl D. Lauer

Carl Donald Lauer, 89, of Stanleyville, Ohio, passed away at 4:30pm, Friday, December 14, 2018, at Marietta Center. He was born May 31, 1929, in Whipple, Ohio, to Albert J. Lauer and Anna M. Gerhold Lauer.

Carl had been employed at Patin Manufacturing Co. and was a founding member of Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma and 3 sons: Jerry (Sherry) Lauer, Gregory (Henrietta Jacks) Lauer, Jeffrey (Chriss) Lauer all of Stanleyville; 5 grandchildren: Ryan (Jennifer) Lauer, Tiffany (Brandon) Rummer, Christopher (Amber) Lauer, Kelsey (Jacob) Dixon, Jeni (Jake) Erb and 5 great grandchildren: Leigha and Blake Lauer, McKenna Rummer, Madison and Corbin Lauer. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Christian, Ralph and Richard Lauer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Dec. 18) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Pringle officiating. Interment will follow in Berg Cemetery.
