Opal E. Miller
Opal E. Miller, 84, of Marietta, Ohio passed away on Feb. 3, 2019. She was born on Oct. 24, 1934 to Carl and Blanch Miller.
She was employed at the Marietta State Nursery in Reno, Ohio as a crew leader until her retirement. She was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and the DUV (Daughters of Union Veterans) and she attended the Second Congregational Church.
She is survived by her husband Arthur, daughter Judy, son David and two grandsons, Matthew and Jason, three brothers, Charles, Donald and Carl Jr. and two sisters, Penny and Nancy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed “Bud,” Robert and Dennis and one sister, Carol.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Feb. 7) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Hills Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4 until 7. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
