James G. Bleakley
James G. Bleakley, 68, of Marietta passed away at 1:45 pm. Friday, February 15, 2019, at the home of his sister. He was born on April 9, 1950, in Marietta a son of Gerald R. Bleakley and Dorothy Fay Medley Bleakley.
Jim had been employed at J. C. Penney’s and had served in the U. S. Marine Corp. He was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.
Jim is survived by his sister, Jane L. (Dan) Lankford of Marietta, son Richie (Elizabeth) Bleakley of Aurora, CO, daughter Christina Seevers of Marietta; granddaughter Isabella Bleakley, grandsons Malcom and Adam and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Judith Osbourne.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Feb. 19) at 2:00 pm at the Open Door Baptist Church with burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5 until 8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
