Robert Paul Gribble

Robert Paul Gribble, 97, of Cutler, Ohio, passed away on March 25, 2019, at The Arbors of Marietta.   He was born February 17, 1922, in Palmer Township the first son of the late Jean and Alma Morris Gribble.

Robert was a member of Layman United Methodist Church.   He was a farmer and retired from B.F. Goodrich after 32 years. He was a graduate of Vincent High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was also a 4-H advisor and a member of the Grange.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Wagner Gribble, his brothers, James Gribble and Bruce Gribble and sisters, Ruth Varner and Mary Yost.

Surviving are his son David (Nancy) Gribble and daughters Grace (David) Hubbard and Nancy Whitehurst, granddaughter Christy Curry, grandsons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Gribble, Jeffrey (Gabbie) Hubbard and Jason Hubbard and great grandsons, Drake and Rhett Curry and Michael Cleveland and sisters-in-law, Jean Gribble of Cutler, Jean Gribble of Elgin, IL and Ruth Wagner of Columbus.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday (March 30) at 11:00 am at Layman United Methodist Church with Pastor Lou Whitney officiating. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 and at the church one hour before the service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
