Donald E. Morrow, 93, of Fleming died Friday, June 28, 2019, at Harmar Place in Marietta. He was born December 5, 1925, in Vincent, Ohio to Leslie and Nettie Morrow.

Donald graduated from Vincent High School in 1944 and was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy from 1943 to 1945. He retired from B. F. Goodrich after 38 years. Donald was a member of the Tunnel United Methodist Church, a founding member of the Warren Volunteer Fire Department, VFW Post 5108, Pioneer Antique Car Club, Harmar Masonic Lodge 390, Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite and American Legion Post 64.

His hobbies included square dancing, NASCAR races, playing his guitar with the group The Nit-Pickers, bluegrass music, driving his ‘39 Chevy in parades and car shows around the area and playing golf with the highlight being a hole-in-one at Lakeside.

Donald married Dorothy Irvine on March 28, 1948, at the Veto Presbyterian Church.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Dorothy; children, Barbara Morrow and Dennis Morrow of Marietta, Daniel (wife Kathryn) Morrow of Fleming; grandchildren Gregory Morrow of Marietta and Jessica Morrow of Athens. Don is preceded in death by son, Ronald Morrow and brother, Doras.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (July 3) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Dr. Lloyd Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in Rockland Cemetery in Belpre with military rites. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to Warren Volunteer Fire Department or Tunnel United Methodist Church. A special “thank you” to Harmar Place and staff for their compassionate care they gave Donald.
