Katie “Kate” Drayer

Katie “Kate” Eileen Drayer passed away on December 4, 2020 at the age of 43. She was a 1995 graduate of Marietta High School and the Washington County Career Center. She was also a 1999 graduate of Marietta College, where she studied Fine Arts and began to follow her passion for painting and creating unique gifts for her family and friends. She particularly enjoyed making hand-painted toys for her grandchildren and great-nieces and -nephews.
Katie was preceded in death by her father William “Bill” Drayer and sister Rebecca “Becky” Barnes. She is survived by her mother Josie Drayer; son Dale Myers and his wife Sorella; daughter Shauna “Brie” Myers; two grandsons William and Theodore; two sisters Brenda Riffe and her husband Steve, and Dody Waggoner and her husband Cory; “sister” Holly Elliott; nieces and nephews Lana Lauer, Brandi Beaver, Adena Matheny, Tanner Ogle, Conner Ogle, Alex Myers, and Andy Myers; many great-nieces and -nephews; and her beloved dog Annie.
