Mary M. Pabst
Mary M. Pabst, 82, of The Inn and former resident of The Woman’s Home in Marietta, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010, at The Arbors of Marietta.
She was born on July 12, 1928, in Waterford a daughter of Fred and Matilda Arnold Muntz. Mary was a 1946 graduate of Waterford High School and had worked at Bailey’s Grocery and retired as payroll clerk for Marietta City Schools. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary.
On February 10, 1951, at St. John’s Church, she married Harold E. Pabst who preceded her in death on September 7, 1998.
Mary is survived by 4 daughters: Karen (Jim) Amrine, Cheryl (Mike) Swaney all of Marietta, Marlene (Clifford) Pease of Columbus, Diana (Bruce) Parsell of Falls Church, VA; 2 sons: Edward (Carol) Pabst and Tom (Lynn) Pabst all of Marietta. She was a loving grandmother to: Jamey (Constance) Amrine, Stephanie (David) Jaklitsch, Phillip Amrine, Elizabeth (Kyle) Talbot, Heidi, Carlton, and Harrison Pease, Josh (Jenny) Pabst, Stacie (Jeff Slaughter) Pabst, Scott Pabst and Mandy Pabst, Andy (Sadie McFadden) Swaney, Angela (Nathan) Reich, and Maddi Swaney, and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 6 brothers and sisters: Leona Muntz, Joe Muntz, Dale Muntz, Helen Dye, Paul Muntz, Lela Murray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Wilbur Muntz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (December 3rd) at 1:00 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church with entombment following at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00pm with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.
Memorial donations are requested to The Woman’s Home, 812 Third Street or St. Mary Catholic Church Restoration Fund, 506 Fourth Street both in Marietta.
