Ronald L. “Ron” Hazelton

Ronald Lee “Ron” Hazelton, 60, passed peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at home in Marietta.
Ron was born June 29, 1962, in Somerville, NJ, to the late Ronald C. Hazelton and Carol A. Newlon.
Ron graduated from Marietta High School in 1980. He married Roberta “Bobbi” Hazelton on March 17, 2000. Ron was a devoted father to three amazing children, Ian Hazelton, Mackenzie Hazelton, and Samantha (Jared) Vaughn. He loved being “Pap” to his three grandsons, River, Canyon, and Aspen.
Ron was a lifetime member of the JAYCEES, and member of the board for Harvest of Hope. He never turned down an opportunity to help others.
He enjoyed bowling, watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, his fantasy football leagues, and hanging out with family.
Besides his immediate family, Ron is survived by his mother, Carol Newlon, brothers, David (Sherri) Hazelton, and Gary (Irene) Hazelton, nephews, Josh Hazelton and Jacob Hazelton, and niece, Emma Hazelton.
Preceding Ron in death were his father, Ron C. Hazelton, his grandparents, and a nephew, Aaron Hazelton.
A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held on November 19, 2022, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin Street, Marietta, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The family would like to sincerely thank everyone who followed and prayed for Ron during his battle with cancer.
