Georgia Cunningham, 86, of Lowell, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024 at Waterview Pointe Nursing home with family at her side. She was born July 25, 1937 to the late George G. Jr and Martha Padgitt in Marietta, Ohio. Georgia always went by the name “Sis”. She always told the story she didn’t know her name was Georgia till third grade when her teacher told her. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1955. During high school she worked at the Colony Cinema and the Merryland pool at the Washington county Fairgrounds. After graduation Georgia worked at Remington Rand, where she remained for 27 years until retirement.

Georgia loved living near the river in Lowell where she enjoyed riding on her pontoon boat. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, quilting, motorcycling, camping, bowling and spending time with family.

In 1997 she married Eddie Cunningham who preceded her in death on October 1, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents, her brothers, Donald and Lyle Padgitt, sisters Marlene Cunningham, and Carol Hamilton, and step-children, Roger and Evon Cunningham, Tim and Sonia Cunningham and grandson Reno Cunningham.

She is survived by her children April Moyers (Calvin) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Mark May (Donna) of Newark, Ohio and Reuben May (Carol) of Lowell, Ohio, Rod Cunningham (Debbie) and Brian Cunningham (Cindy). Grandchildren, Cary Moyers (Angela), Adam Moyers (Valerie), Eric May, Scott May (Jamie) , Brick May (Acia), Kelsey May (Chris Harris),Tyler Rowley, and Stephanie Rowley, Ryan Cunningham, Corrine Raub (Noel), Bryan Cunningham Jr.(Kim), Brittany Cunningham, and Cody Cunningham. Great-grandchildren: Shaun Moyers (Destiny), Zane and Zaylee Moyers, Mylie and Madelyn Moyers, Gabe and Evan May, Annalee, Angelina, and Jozelyn May, Zackariah, Adien, Lilian and Wyatt May, Vance Vetanze, Jairn and Jordan Harris.and three great-great grandchildren Everleigh Belew, Asher and Deliah Moyers
