Sherri Parsons

Sherrie Parsons, 78, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 7, 2026.

Sherrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She was married to the love of her life, John C. Parsons, for 60 years. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and countless cherished memories.

Sherrie will be deeply missed by her brother, Paul Schau of Marietta, Ohio; her children, John W. Parsons of Baltimore, Ohio; Scott (Sherry) Parsons of Marietta, Ohio; and Jeff (Jennifer) Parsons of Marietta, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Austin, Brooklyn, Brayden, Cory, and Casey; and nine great-grandchildren, Carson, Kaiser, Gabby, Aiden, Cade, Cooper, Colton, and Lilah.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Parsons; her parents, John and Helen Schau; and her siblings, Linda Hills, Gary Schau, and Dale Schau.

Sherrie was a member of the Warren Township Fire Auxiliary and was an avid NASCAR fan. She especially treasured the time spent with her family and took great pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Her love, kindness, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home in Marietta, Ohio, on Thursday, September 10, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m.
