    Billy Eugene Seevers, 63, of Belpre passed away at 11:36 pm. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital Belpre Campus.
    He was born December 22, 1958, in Newport, OH, to Gilber Uriah Seevers and Irene Benson Seevers. Billy was employed as a butcher for Pine Ridge Meat Processing for many years until ill health forced his retirement.

  • Patsy Hupp

    Patsy Hupp, 80 of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    She was born June 17, 1941 in Jackson County, W.Va., to the late Bernard and Helen (Neville) Roush. Patsy was an accountant, and after her retirement she spent her time as a volunteer doing tax returns for many people in our area. She loved spending time with her daughter and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

    Sherry Gail Fulton, 49, of Vincent passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at her home.

  • Ruby Eileen McElfresh

    Ruby Eileen McElfresh, 87, of Marietta passed away June 4, 2022 at 5:28 am, with her loving family by her side.
    Ruby was born August 25, 1934, at Newport, Ohio to the late Raymond Tidd, Sr. and Mary Gale Duffy Tidd. On May 23, 1952, she married Robert T. McElfresh, Jr., he preceded her in death on November 1, 2011.
    Ruby was a member of the Marietta Bible Center Church. Ruby enjoyed cooking and baking at The Living Rivers Café. Ruby also enjoyed embroidering and crocheting blankets.

  • Garnett Ann Naylor Prim

    Garnett Ann Naylor Prim, 85 of Newport, Ohio, formerly of Clay County, West Virginia, passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Allen Prim in 2014. They were married for 56 years.
    Garnett was also preceded by her parents, Daniel and Sylvia (Legg) Naylor and the following brothers: Kent (Connie), Dallas (Deannie), Joe (Carol), and Gene Paul Naylor. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Wilma (Allan) Sharpneck, Charlotte (Bob) Hyer, Evelyn (David) Ellison, and Margaret (Frank) Shelton. She is survived by her brothers Blaine (Pat) Naylor, Mike (Nikky Yakuvic) Naylor and sister Margie (Art) Nicholas.
    She leaves behind 5 children, Kandi Williams of Newport, Cynthia (Scott) Kanemura of Yuma, Arizona, Darrell (Debbie) Prim of Marietta, Penny (Barry) Ghee of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Robert (Terry) Prim of Clarington, Ohio. Garnett also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her third great-great-grandson will be born later this summer.

    Clarence Phillip “Phil” Billiter, 71, of Lower Salem passed away at 11:50 pm, Wednesday, May 31, 2022, at The Arbors of Marietta.
    He was born on April 20, 1951, in Bellaire, OH to Clarence and Elizabeth Billiter. Phil was a farmer and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

  • Carol Ann Sciance

    Carol Ann Sciance, 77, a lifelong resident of Turkeyhen in Fleming, Ohio, was called home by her Heavenly Lord and Savior, on Sunday, May 29th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with breast cancer.
    Carol was born on July 22nd, 1944, to Denzil M. and Helen Riley Robinson on the Turkeyhen family farm where she resided until her death.
    She married Wayne Glen Sciance in February of 1963, who preceded her in death in April of 2005.
