Charles Robert Dye Sr. (Charlie)

Charles Robert Dye Sr. (Charlie), 53, of Reno, had a change of address to Heaven on Sunday (Aug 14, 2011) at Riverside Hospital.

He was born March 15, 1958 in Japan to Ervin and Betty Dye. Charlie was a 1976 graduate of Frontier High School. He worked at North American Coal until 1982. Relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1984. He was a truck driver for Wiley Jackson, ABC Liquor and, All State Paving. In 2005 went to work at Homes Merit until 2007. In 2008 he relocated to Marietta, Ohio where he was employed at Vadakin of Marietta. He was a Baptist by faith.            

Charlie is survived by his wife Rebecca Williams Dye of Orlando, FL. They married on June 25, 1977 at New Matamoras, Washington County and a daughter Kristin Dye of Orlando, FL. Also his special friend “His Girl” Carolyn Taylor Brasington of Reno.  Also surviving is one sister, Anna Springer of New Matamoras, two brothers James Dye Sr. (Delta) and John Dye (Martha) both of Bartow, FL, two nieces Amy Dye Howard (Jared) and Michelle Dye. Three nephews Terry Springer Jr. (Sherry), Jeremy (Shelly), and Chad (Lisa), his mother-in-law Shirley Williams of New Matamoras, an aunt Marilyn Rhoads (Art) and uncle Cecil Moore also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Charles Robert Dye Jr., nephew James F. Dye Jr. and father in law James L Williams Sr.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home.  Friends may call from 10 am Thursday until the hour of service.
