Earl Nestor, Jr.
Earl Nestor, Jr., Williamstown, WV died September 1st, 2008 at Marietta Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born February 5, 1924, in Peel Tree, Barbour County, WV, son of the late Earl Nestor, Sr. and Rosa Norman Nestor. He attended Weston High School and retired from Fenton Art Glass in 1988 after 32 years as a furnace man. He had been a member of Jesse's Run (Lewis County) United Methodist Church. He enjoyed raising his own "pink tomatoes" to give to friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Mae Fisher Nestor, Williamstown, a son and daughter-in-law, William R. “Bob” and Barbara Nestor, Williamstown, two grandchildren, Mike (Stacey) Nestor, Hedgesville, WV and Lisa (Rich) Fluharty, Chesterfield, VA; three great-grandchildren, Elle Maddox, Hedgesville, WV; and Maggie and Connor Fluharty, Chesterfield, VA; four sisters, Colene Frashure, Buckhannon, WV, Ethel Haught, Uniontown, PA, Vyolet Dils, Smithfield, PA, and Hattie Mays, Winfield, WV; four nieces and eight nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Macel Rogers, Evelyn Bennet, and Dessie Melton.
At Earl's request there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm on Saturday, September 6th , in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown, with Reverend Dr. Michael Richards officiating.
The family requests donations be made to Wayside United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3001 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, WV 26105. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
