Rose Norene Brown
Rose Norene Brown, 76, of Marietta died Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Genesis Marietta Center.
She was born September 24, 1938, in Marietta to Pearley L. Brown and Nora Ethel Schafer Brown.
She attended Marietta High School. She was employed at Brown’s Bakery and Brownie’s Donut and Pastry Shop. Rose was most happy at the bakery. Rose enjoyed her customers, loved her family and in her retirement she loved to walk; a familiar sight all over town.
She is survived by her sister, Jeanne McAtee and Gloria Sue Brown of Marietta, Mary (Bill) Kitts of Barlow and Phyllis Caplinger of Marysville, TN, sister-in-law Yasuko Brown of Lowell and brother, Neil (Dixie) Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Leroy, Robert and Charles and sisters Betty Sprague and Beatrice Brown. She also leaves behind special friends, Debbie Wagner and Candy and Jeff Waite.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (Aug. 6) at 12:00 noon at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Mugrage officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery.
