Wayne Martin

Edward Wayne Martin, 88, of Marietta passed away February 5, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born January 14, 1932 in Albany, Ohio to John Martin and Emma Bolin Martin and Story Young.

Wayne owned and operated Martin’s Appliance Service for over 40 years. He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 458 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1623.

On February 10, 1952 Wayne married Charolett Miller who preceded him in death On February 6, 2012.

Surviving are their daughters: Sandra (Richard) Hall of Marietta, Debi (Rodney) Gordon of Coolville, Donna Clift of Marietta; grandchildren: Jason Hall, Joshua Clift, Matthew Clift, Brittany Martin, John Antill, and Kyle Gordon; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Wayne was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Martin, granddaughter Jazmin Sloter, and a brothers Franklin Martin and Earl Ellis.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, February 10th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call beginning 2 pm Sunday with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
