Charles H. Hill, Jr.

Charles H. Hill, Jr., 83, of Oak Grove, Marietta, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Harmar Place.

He was born on January 20, 1927, in Marietta, a son of Charles H. Hill, Sr. and Goldie Thomas Hill.  Chuck was employed by B.F. Goodrich, a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII,  a member of Open Door Baptist Church, a member of Thursday night bowling league, and a member of VFW Post 5108.

On June 20, 1981, he married Diane Ellis who survives with her daughter Bobbie (John) Hausfeld of Dayton. He is also survived by 2 sons, 1 daughter:  Charles Craig Hill, John (Tammy) Hill, Sherry (Mike) Davis all of Marietta, and their mother Donna Hill, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by brothers:  Freeman Pritchett, James Pritchett, Randall Pritchett, Bob Hill, Sherman Hill, Leonard Hill and sisters Shelby Boyer and Phyllis Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jason Hill, and brother Herman Hill.

Friends may call on Tuesday (August 3rd) from 10:00 until 12:00 noon at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home immediately followed by graveside services at East Lawn Memorial Park with full military rites.
