Rex Allen Cobb
Rex Allen Cobb, 75, of Coal Run, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was born February 25, 1950 in Coal Run a son of John William Cobb and Lillian Twila Simon Cobb.
He was employed in the kitchen at the Lafayette Hotel and attended Coal Run Church of Christ.
Rex is survived by his brother, John W. Cobb of Belpre and 8 nieces and nephews: Michelle (Richard) McAtee, Jackie Starkey, Shawn Farnsworth, Tammy Cobb, Ruby Johns, Charles (Danny) Torrez, Frankie (Janice) Cobb and Roberta Fisher, several great-great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Walter Joe Cobb and 2 nephews, Wally and John Cobb.
Funeral service will be held on Friday (March 6) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Newport Cemetery. Family will greet friends before the service from 12:00 until 2:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com
