Doris Jean Hill

Doris Jean Hill, 84, of Moss Run passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born at Cow Run on September 29, 1941 a daughter of Lawrence Dale Wallace and Ruth Lois Mosser Wallace.

She married Herman Hill who preceded her in death.

Doris loved fur babies and never met a cat, dog, horse or donkey that she didn’t like. She also loved corresponding with people. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School. At various time in her life, she had worked at a pottery, performed childcare, housekeeping, groundwork and performed various tasks for 2 local oil companies. She will sadly missed by her fur babies, family and friends.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Lylah Raye Kelley Patten of Marietta, granddaughter, Antoinette Elaine Bigham (Richard) of Crooksville, 2 great grandchildren, Dance Dale Grahame of Marietta and Willow Ann Gahame of Rio Grande, OH, great-great grandson, Kieran James Sheridan, 4 nieces and nephews: Lenore Lockhart, Marlene Way, Jason Willey, Jared Willey, brother-in-law Mahlon Willey and several treasured cousins and their families.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Willey, granddaughter, Ruth Daile Erb, sons-in-law, James John Kelley and Gary Robert Patten.
