Ruth Ann Jackson, 93, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at The Arbors of Marietta. She was born April 10, 1931, in Monroe County a daughter of John Richard Stephen and Nancy Elizabeth Miller Stephen.
Ruth was a homemaker and later in life worked at Big Bear. She enjoyed gardening, especially roses, and loved to cook, bake and can foods. She was a member of Easter Star Aurelius #60, Gilman United Methodist Church and Pioneer Ladies Civitan Club.
Izabelle L. Beck, 15, of Marietta passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born April 1, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio a daughter of Duston Beck and Jennifer Vakoc Beck.
Izabelle was a 9th grade student at Marietta High School. She was a “Dr. Pepper” addict and loved cheerleading. She was a beautiful soul who loved life, “Stitch” (the cartoon), was courageous and brave and nothing could bring her down.
Edward C. Jeffers, 65, of Marietta passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born November 29, 1959 in Watertown, NY, a son of Clarence Jeffers of Stanleyville and the late June Miller Jeffers.
He had been employed as a roofer with Bradford Roofers and ProManco. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson and spending time with grandchildren. He also liked showing his gasoline engines and working with sheet metal.
Hester Lucinda Erb McCain, passed away peacefully at her home on January 1, 2025, at the age of 96.
Born on November 13, 1928, to David and Rebecca Holiday Erb, Hester was a sister to the late Virgil, William, Herbert, Pearl, David, James, Gary and Mary Lou Erb, Jeanette Neville, Bonita Williams, and Carrie Hallett. She is survived by Ruth (Bradley) Morris, Ronald (Yvonne) Erb, Dale (Paula) Erb, Imogene Tidd, and John (Barbara) Erb.
Hester had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and spent countless hours tending to her garden and flowers, which were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She cherished her time with family, offering unconditional love, guidance, and wisdom to all generations.
Romena S. Beaver, 97, of New Matamoras, Ohio, passed away at 3:11 am, Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Romena was born February 25, 1927 in New Matamoras a daughter of Raymond T. Fox and Kathern Brown Fox. She was a homemaker and was a life-long member of the Matamoras Methodist Church.
Bridget D. Kelley, 63, of Racine, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at Legacy at Marietta.
Bridget was born on December 3, 1961, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois a daughter of Paul Kelley and Barbara McBride Kelley. She was a homemaker.
Helen O. Green, 84, of Marietta passed away December 21, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
