Sammy Richard Francis, Sr.
Sammy Richard Francis, Sr. of New Matamoras, passed away at 8:15pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born on February 17, 1935, in Newport, to Arthur and Epsy Francis. He was a member of Labors Union #639.
On May 1, 1970, he married Mildred Boley who survives with 1 son and 5 daughters: Linda, Nicki, Sam Jr., Amy, Stephanie, Lisa and 10 grandchildren, brother Don and sisters Margaret and Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 27th, at 1:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday after 10:00am.
Memorial contributions may be contributed to the funeral home to help the family with his expenses in lieu of flowers.
